Nemysis develops effective functional compounds to safely and effectively address gut-mediated disorders
Our products are all targeted at addressing gut-mediated disorders, whilst avoiding the side effects common to alternative products and being gentle on the patients’ microbiome. IHAT – Nano Fe(III) harnesses nano technology to mimic normal delivery of iron to the gut for safe and effective absorption in patients with Iron Deficiency, with or without Anaemia.
E40 is a novel enzymatic approach designed to support the degradation of gluten in Celiac Disease (CeD) and Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity (NCGS) sufferers as an adjuvant to a GFD and at risk of involuntary, symptomatic gluten exposure. E40 helps break down gluten immunogenic fragments which can trigger CeD and are thought to contribute to NCGS.
Our novel Matrix Delivery System is designed for gastro-protecting enzymes and other compounds for safe passage through the gastric environment to the intestinal site of action or absorption.
Why is preserving the gut microbiome so important?
The gut microbiome is made up of trillions of bacteria, fungi and other microbe and plays a very important role in your health through helping control digestion, supporting the immune system and many other aspects of health. Many medicines, in addition to other causes of adverse side effects, can have an adverse impact on the gut microbiome causing an imbalance in the unhealthy and healthy microbes in the intestine. This may contribute to weight gain, high blood sugar, high cholesterol and other disorders, including poor absorption of nutrients causing nutritional deficiencies.1,2

Our Strategy for development has short and longer-term objectives.
In the short-term our stepwise strategy focuses on early registration and product launches for IHAT, approved as a Novel Food supplement throughout Europe, and E40, to be approved as a Medical Device.
In the longer term, both products will be marketed as prescription products in the USA, following further co-development with a selected partner(s).
